A little bit of time spent investigating these offers could save you hundreds of pounds. Sign up to the online retailer’s e-newsletter. They will often send out special offers direct to their customers on their database before sending them out to the rest of the world.


5. Verify – As with anything in life there are safe places to buy goods from and places you shouldn’t really trust. Investigate the company you are buying from, read reviews, check that they have secure checkouts, look for verified and trusted tags on the website. The majority of online stores these days are legitimate, but there are still a few dodgy dealers out there looking to catch you off guard.

Here are the Pinesolutions top tips for looking after your pine furniture:


- Never place your pine furniture next to a radiator or in full view of direct sunlight. The wood will reduce in size when it is exposed to heat which can cause the wood to crack.
- Do not place any hot or cold items directly onto the surface of the wood. Use a place mat and coasters to place hot plates and cold drinks onto.
- Any spills should be cleaned up immediately with a clean/damp cloth. Do not rub the spill as this will spread the spill to other areas of the wood. Carefully blot the liquid allowing the cloth to soak it up.
- Keeping your pine furniture clean is essential. Use a dust cloth to wipe the surface of the furniture at least once a week. Avoid using oil based polishes or aerosol sprays as these can remove the natural characteristics of the pine and give the wood a sticky finish.
- A block wax (unperfumed) can be used to re-treat the surface of the pine by rubbing the surface of the pine every 2-3 months. Apply the wax to the whole furniture once a year.
